    • Are you happy with the direction of your life?

    I'd like to think I will be reflecting on what I've done in my life when I finally retire.  Although I'm not done writing the self employment chapter's of my life, I am happier with this part of my time on earth than whatever I have done previously.
     
    How about you?  Are you happy doing what you are doing?  If so, great. If not, change your direction and look into opening up your own business while you are working (even if you are not working).  There are tax advantages to owning a business.  
     
    Think about how you could start a business and still be putting money into a retirement account.  One more thing.  When you are done with being a business owner, you have the opportunity to sell your business for $$$$.  
     
    It isn't hard to get started.  For me, the hardest thing was taking that first step.  You are probably going to be afraid but there have been many before you who have done it and many more who will do it in the future.
