Recent Posts:Create your own perksAs a self employed business operator, I don't have the deep pockets of those billion dollar businesses in America. I can't match them in some of the perks they offer but I can create my own nonetheless.I tend to borrow some of the perks I was used to when I worked as a corporate employee many years ago. Hey, I needed to accumulate training and expand my knowledge base so why not do so while collecting a paycheck. Anyway, I always liked the idea of casual Fridays. I've adopted casual Fridays in my own business and genuinely look forward to a more casual attire. Speaking of attire, I have long shucked the professional uniform of a business suit since operating my business. Certainly to put on a suit and tie simplifies my wardrobe decisions but being able to adopt a business casual choice of clothing is so much more comfortable.
Perks don't have to involve money and some can be as simple as setting your lunch hour counter to the traditional noon time slot. I am a big fan of taking my lunch meal an hour early. Whether in restaurants or at my desk, being able to reduce the wait time brought on by other people seeking service has increased my time to actually be eating instead of waiting to be served.
I am a CPA in San Antonio and provide bookkeeping, payroll, taxes and more. Our initial visit is free and we look forward to serving your business needs.
