When I first began my business, I would check the phone fairly often just to make sure it was working.  It was lonely at first and I think only someone who has been self employed for awhile may really understand the fears and frustrations from taking that leap of faith to open a place of your own.

 

Over time, I began to reach out to other small business owners and learned to ask for help and counsel.  Sticking to my business plan and having a group of other owners to share common issues really has aided me in my business and my personal life.

 

Now I try and give back to both new businesses and small ones.  I ask you to give help when you can to support those just starting out and even the ones struggling to make it.  It takes quite a bit of nerve to go out on your own.  The little bit of help you give may be just the thing to put the entrepreneur over the top.
