Recent Posts:Tradition can keep you centeredSo today is the first day of school and a tradition has been maintained for one more school year. Can you guess what that is? I have made a hot breakfast for my children every first day of school since kindergarten. Today was no different. Certainly it was a harder weekend than normal. I was shopping at near midnight yesterday to buy groceries including breakfast ingredients. This morning, I woke up slightly later than usual (5:15AM or so) to get started on feeding the masses. I grated potatoes for hash browns, prepared bacon, biscuits, eggs and cleaned up the dishes while I was cooking at the same time. Traditions like my family's make the hard times a little easier to bear. They create memories that last long beyond the day in which they occur and help you to remember what's most important in your life. Family.
