    • Lessons from Henry Ford

    You know, Henry Ford was a pretty shrewd business man.  He developed an assembly line method to streamline how his vehicles would be built and allowed for mass production of the same.  In the U.S., he also invented the BBQ briquette.  He also believed in surrounding himself with people who were smarter in areas than he was.
     
    So many things listed above served Mr. Ford well.  His car company is still around but he could have maintained a near monopoly for many more years if he didn't cling so long to ideas that his cars offer only one color choice and only one vehicle choice.
     
    As a business person, it's important to continue to improve yourself and there's nothing wrong with looking to the past and the people in the present for ideas on how to improve your own operation.
