What's interesting about those people is how they think.  They go against the grain.  They zig when everybody zags.  In other words, they do things and think in ways you would not conventionally expect.

 

Perhaps that is the answer to achieve the accolades and recognition like being selected to a business hall of fame.

 

Look at some of the people who meet the criteria.  Jerry Jones.  How many people do you know who buy a professional sports team?  Red McCombs, a man who became a billionaire by starting his own car dealership and then diversifying into other areas as well.

 

You don't just decide one day to start your own enterprise on a whim.  You have a plan and sometimes it's an audacious plan.  Carry it through and you could be the one being nominated for your town's business hall of fame.
