Over the last year, I've packed on more pounds than a cannery.  A little joke perhaps but one which rings true in the fact that a rather sedentary job like mine doesn't actually lend itself to losing weight.  That statement being true, I've been doing a lot more walking lately.

I've never been a big fan of walking.  I don't know why.  The upside to my recent walks taken after lunch is the loss of aches and pains which I've been dealing with lately.

My entire family has a gym membership but it's been ages since I have actually been in the establishment.  For me, I prefer to ride my bicycle but since the body is such an efficient machine, I haven't been able to drop many pounds by cycling alone.

Thanks to my walks, the weight scale is beginning to move downward (which for me is a good thing).  What else have I done?  I'm trying to cut out processed sweets and bread.

I've noticed my sleep has been better and those cricks in my back have largely subsided.

It's amazing how little it takes to make you feel so much better.
