Recent Posts:A step in the right directionThere are two things which caused me to make a lifestyle change recently. One was receiving a picture of myself sent to me from my nephew's birthday party about a month ago. The second thing is an upcoming blood work drawing ordered by my Doctor. At first, I looked at the picture and it took me awhile to realize the fat old guy in the picture was me. *THUD* I had hit rock bottom. I became aware at that moment I needed a change in my life. All the weekend riding in the world wasn't going to bring back a lean body to me. I had to change and did just that. Back in November, I began walking after lunch a mile for additional exercise. A sedentary job like mine is not conducive to weight loss so I also made a decision to reduce my bread intake as well. Results? It's been over a month and I've dropped 13 pounds to date. I don't count myself as being on a diet so much as a lifestyle change. In this way, I won't feel deprived and then gorge myself once I hit my target weight. Am I there yet. Nope. I have a long way to go but at least I've been taking steps in the right direction. I am a CPA in San Antonio and provide bookkeeping, payroll, taxes and more.
