  • Guilty of being unprepared

Yesterday after Church, my family and I went out for Lunch.  On the way back, my wife asked if we could stop off at a neighborhood computer repair store to pick up my youngest daughter's laptop computer which was in for virus repairs.  I began chatting with the manager and he asked what I did for a living which I shared with him.  He then asked for my business card.  "oh crap I thought to myself, again I forget to carry a business card with me."

A business card is an opportunity to sell yourself.  When my business started, I carried a big stack rubberbanded together and stuffed in whatever pocket would accommodate (just in case).  Still, I violated a basic rule of business by not carrying one.

The manager was good natured about it and I promised to drop one off this week (which I fully intend to do).

I've mentioned before how important it is to be prepared for a potential sale. Even on the weekends when you're just enjoying life.

I am a CPA in San Antonio and provide bookkeeping, payroll, taxes and more.  We offer a free initial visit and look forward to serving your business needs.
