    • Can you identify the roadblocks in your life?

    I pretty much take the same streets to work every day and the same ones home.  The past few weeks, there have been road detours of note impeding my drive into the office.  These "roadblocks" cause me to wait in a long line of traffic to get where I want to go and give me the chance to consider the roadblocks in my life.
     
    For years I worked as an employee as one day blended into another.  Don't get me wrong.  You need "seasoning" if you are going to strike out on your own one day.  It's just that there will come a time when you've developed all the technical skills to open your own shop.  The problem at that time will be the mental roadblocks you have constructed in your mind.
     
    Not enough money, what if I don't make it, I can't find a suitable location, I need more time.  The previous were my mental roadblocks before I started.  The "what if I don't make it" one loomed large as even my Mother voiced the same concern to me.
     
    The truth is a business is started every day and I don't know anyone who is getting younger with the passing of each year.  Life holds no guarantees but regret will certainly be one you will acquire if you don't at least try.
