  • What do you do when the passion is gone?

Decades.  That's how long it's been since I played a game of chess.  Life gets in the way and suddenly one year became two, became a decade, became 2 decades.  Playing chess used to be a passion of mine.  What do you do when the passion to play is gone?

I try to maintain a life balance between work and personal interests.  Chess for me has in the past been too mentally strenuous an activity after hours of work at the office.  Still, I missed it.  So, I've decided to spend a quarter hour of each lunch period I have studying chess on my work PC.  I think playing games such as chess will keep your brain sharp and will pay dividends in other parts of life.

I used to be good.  Real good.  I know it will take months to shake off the rust but who knows, maybe I'll enter a tournament and see how things go.  It's better than watching hours of TV or playing some video game for hours.

I am a CPA in San Antonio and provide bookkeeping, payroll, taxes and more.  We offer a free initial visit and look forward to serving your business needs.
