My first day of bicycling to work begins today

The why?  Well, my weight on the scale hasn't budged in awhile though I cycle most every weekend.  I've got an upcoming physical with the Doctor and of course it doesn't hurt to save a few dollars in fuel costs by not driving.

I twisted and turned researching the addition of an electric motor to one of my bicycles but have decided to table that idea as the hills to be taken on the way home really are not all that daunting.

It's just turned 5AM and I need to pack my toiletries which I will use to clean up once I get to the office.  I spent a bit of time repairing a flat to the bike I plan to ride this morning (a friend of my daughter used the bike without permission and returned it with the flat).  It only took about 10 minutes for repair so it wasn't that tough an ordeal.

I purchased a messenger bag some time ago to carry my stuff and there is a mounted bottle holder for something refreshing to be stored should I have the need to quench my thirst.

The trip distance is approximately 7 miles but the anticipation and joy I will receive are limitless.
