    The large food manufacturers are very good at catering to the wants of the public.  New and improved will find its way into old established brands.  Companies will expand their offerings like bottled water, flavored water and such.
     
    The small business owner must do the same or be left behind.  Though the budget may not allow for the reach which large well funded businesses have, small businesses have the ability to move much faster by not having multiple layers of management to wade through before implementing their newest offering.
     
    Identify trends and patterns in your line of business and be able to grow by maximizing your opportunities in the market place.
