  • Paying your taxes as you go when you're self employed

So, you've worked for years as an employee somewhere and finally have opened your own business.  You get to the end of the year to find out you actually have a profit and then it hits you.  Oh my gosh!  I have to pay HOW MUCH in taxes???

That surprise and worry can be avoided by the use of estimated tax payments to the United States Treasury.  The IRS provides you with a form which allows you to pay as you go should you operate as a self employed individual or if you anticipate an unexpected financial windfall which might contain no opportunity for withholding money on that transaction.

Our office is familiar with how to handle making tax payments throughout the year to avoid having to come up with substantial amounts of money and additional interest at the last minute.

I am a CPA in San Antonio and provide bookkeeping, payroll, taxes and more.  We offer a free initial visit and look forward to serving your business needs.
