It's a delicate balance.  Cash flow and your business needs.  At times, there are more needs than cash.  Then it takes prioritizing.  Whether new to self employment or a seasoned vet, you will be forced to make tough choices.

I just received a couple of quotes this week to either repair or replace my office roof.  Mind you that I've already paid another contractor to repair some roof leaks a couple of times.  At the same time, there are the normal expenses with running an office which must be considered.  What to do, what to do.

For me, I still don't have an answer for my situation.  I weigh the pros and cons to the roof situation and rank its importance to the overall needs list which my business (like many others) face.  It's o.k. if you need time to consider your options.  Like the old addage, careful to be a penny wise and a pound foolish.

So, how to operate effectively on less.  It's pretty simple really.  Be creative with your resources and spend wisely.

I am a CPA in San Antonio and provide bookkeeping, payroll, taxes and more.  We offer a free initial visit and look forward to serving your business need.
