Numbers tell you a lot but not everything

Using numbers as one tool to manage your business is fine but it's not the only thing to base your decisions on.

The last few weeks the number of visits to my website had seen a large increase.  If I looked only at the numbers, I would have figured that the viewer saturation hit another level.  Beyond the numbers told a different story.  I was getting close to having to renew my domain name.  The large increase in visits were because it looked like my long time ownership of my website was coming to an end.

Since I renewed my domain name for another year, I noticed the number of visits dropping back to the levels of old.

Numbers tell you a lot but not everything.  You must weigh out other factors too (like renewal dates in my case).
