Things to consider in your budgeting process

Recently my family sat down together to go over the family budget.  No matter how large or small the income is for the family, you need a budget to keep your finances in control.

Since it's difficult to budget for every contingency, consider making a budgeted line item for miscellaneous expenses.  Just think of it like money being provided as for a margin of error within your planned spending.

For people new to budgeting, the idea of "extra spending" within a budget provides the opportunity for a bit of flexibility should you need to go over on another budgeted line item.
