customer service important in business

A wonderful trip to a rather picturesque town marred by poor customer service this weekend.

A town spends tax dollars to promote itself as a destination for tourists/visitors.  It's storekeepers spend considerable  sums of money to create the right inviting storefront and then future sales ruined by poor customer service.

I went to a small town near my home city of residence over the weekend.  It was such a charming city but the experience for me was marred by poor customer service at the last place I visited.  It also was the one I made a purchase from.  The Cashier was so rude that I was weighing out the pro's and con's to leaving empty handed.  I ultimately decided to buy.

I can't overstress how important it is for people who deal with customers/clients to treat them in a manner which keeps them coming back.
