There's a lot involved in pricing your product or services

I'll have people call me from time to time looking for a price quote for taxes.  I think that's smart so you can make an informed decision and I am happy to give a quote.  I also believe it prevents you from overpaying when you are able to compare.   That said, every now and then I'll get someone who uses a quote from someone who vastly underprices customers and expects me to match it. I'm just not going to do it.

Think about it.  If you charge a fair price that lets you cover your labor, overhead and profit to grow then why would you cut your throat just to pick up a piece of business.  It's not a smart long term business move and it's not fair to your existing customers who pay your normal rate.  Why shouldn't all your customers get to enjoy the "sale"?
