Richard is a 1985 graduate of the University of the Incarnate Word with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting and Computer Information Systems. He received his license as a CPA in 1994.

Richard has experience in accounting, tax, payroll and management services and he enjoys working with clients in a wide range of industries and sizes (start ups to medium sized). He works with numerous clients in tax planning and tax return preparation. 

Richard is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.  He is also a member of the San Antonio Society of Certified Public Accountants and has served on a select number of their committees. He is an instructor with the Becker CPA Review Program as well as a Quickbooks Pro Advisor.
Richard and his wife, Marcella, like watching movies at home with their two kids. He takes pleasure in cooking for his family while his librarian wife is completing the last portion of studies for her PhD.  He is an avid Winston Churchill High School football fan and enjoys supporting his children’s many activities that include band, clarinet, violin, drums (very loud) and chess tournaments involving his children. Richard has participated and served many positions in San Antonio civic organizations and youth groups, including the Cub Scouts, Winston Churchill Band Boosters, Harmony Hills PTA, Eisenhower PTA, YMCA Soccer and Basketball. In his spare time he enjoys chess, tennis, singing (a work in progress) and reading.
