Quickbooks Purchase Order module on the blink for awhile

Yesterday I was at a client site when I noticed their Quickbooks functionality was compromised.  I could see the purchase order and the items but was unable to receive them or set up the bill to pay from the purchase order.  I thought the problem was related to the client's file but after researching their database then running some diagnostics, I was left with only one possible conclusion.  Quickbooks had a glitch.

I phoned Quickbooks and they are aware of the problem.  They also mentioned their solution (due to holidays) won't be made until 1/5/17 at the latest.  

So, if you are having a similar problem, it could be due to a programming issue with Quickbooks not with what you may have done.
