Trust but verifyI was quite surprised to receive an email from my wife asking why my website contact us page wasn't working. To say the least, I was more than mildly shocked.
I do access my website daily to use certain areas but don't use that particular feature to send messages to myself.
I quickly called my webmaster and asked them to fix the problem. It was a poor assumption of mine to expect them to be on top of all components of my website and ensure are all working properly.
So, lesson learned for me. As Ronald Reagan once said "Trust but verify". The same applies to my business and yours.
If my wife had not tried to use my contact us section, how long would that feature have remained broken and potential clients lost simply because they didn't want to call my office number instead of sending a message through my website. Look over your business and periodically test your various systems to make sure all is as it should be.
I am a CPA in San Antonio and serve the needs of businesses and individuals in the San Antonio and surrounding areas.
