Focusing on tasks at hand
Well, April 15 is come and gone. That date is important to tax filers in the U.S. because we need to file our returns (assuming you owe) by that date or request an extension.
What I learn each year preparing returns during that time is the essential need to properly focus on what needs to be done in the time given.
There are times when we can be sidetracked and wasteful with our work day. Deadlines really help you to become efficient to meet your obligations.
If your business wants to grow (or you personally want to get more accomplished) then create your own self imposed deadlines and stick to them. Those deadlines will help you to become better able to marshal your resources and accomplish what needs to be done.
I am a CPA in San Antonio and serve the needs of individuals and small businesses in San Antonio and surrounding areas.
