Are you ready to be a success in business?
Talent alone won't make you a success. Neither will being in the right place at the right time, unless you are ready. The most important question is: ''Are your ready?'' ~ Johnny Carson
Well, Mr. Carson had a pretty good run didn't he. All he did was dominate the late night talk shows for 30 years. He withstood challenges from rivals and his program crossed generations. Not too bad by anyone's standards.
Do you know that little bit of fear you feel as you contemplate a life change? Everyone feels the same apprehension. I suppose it's because our parents instilled that in us when we were young and discovering our awareness of surroundings.
A healthy dose of fear acts as a means of self preservation but can also freeze us from taking calculated risks. Those risks are OPPORTUNITIES to be met and conquered.
I was on the CNN website yesterday and read a story about out of work people. Well educated, experienced people with skills that were used by companies for years. Now, those same people have been out of work so long that their story was one of resignation. Resignation that no job was going to be had so they stopped looking for one. I couldn't believe what I read.
Why is it people are still coming to America from other countries? Because you can still do whatever you want to do here.
If it's not in you to own and operate your own business then be prepared to accept what life gives you.
Let's see. On the one hand, you have self employment with the possibility of making unlimited amounts of income. On the other, being employed by someone else with the safety of a regular paycheck but with the uncertainty of lifetime employment AND a cap on what you can make.
Like Carson said. Things may never be properly aligned for you. Talent and circumstances are only part of the picture. The thing you need is to be ready for success and to move forward to realize your dream. If you are out of work then look on that circumstance as your chance to hire yourself to operate YOUR business.
