Process Improvement. It should be continuous.I have a fair bit of technology available in my office. There are some additional things which I need to budget for which would save me time and increase my productivity (like new software and processes).
It was a habit of mine many years ago to scour the job ads. No, not to acquire a job but to see what employers were looking for. If I didn't recognize the software listed on the employment ad requirements then I would research it to make sure my skills didn't fall behind.
I still look at job ads from time to time but really to become aware of technology which I may not be currently using at my own firm.
Having a peek at what software and job description requirements are for open positions gives me a glimpse into the employee structure for companies placing ads and how I need to educate myself to stay current on what's going on in my field.
