Too simple a man? PerhapsThere is a favorite part to my work day. Take a guess at what that part is. Give up? It's lunch time.
So, I made a mistake. My lunch hour was just starting. Yes, I know I'm my own boss but being your own boss means setting the same kind of structure which you had when you worked for "the man". The structure has boundaries. The time you need to be at work (to be available for to answer the phone), the time to eat lunch, the time to go home. My mistake was being too rigid about my lunch hour. I received a phone call from a prospective new client and I asked if she could call back in an hour (I was in the process of walking to a restaurant when she called my cell phone). Did she call back? No.
I failed her by not being prepared (even out of the office). Will I learn from my mistake? Absolutely! Will she call again? I hope so.
I am a CPA in San Antonio and provide bookkeeping, payroll, taxes and more. We offer a free initial visit and look forward to serving your business needs (even if that needs to happen during my lunch hour).
