A Sign for All TimesSo, here's the deal. Shortly before we moved into our new office location, someone with a very large vehicle knocked our marquee pole off center. At present, the pole leans like the tower of Piza.
I've called a couple of vendors to come out and give me a price to either repair or replace but none have come out yet.
I don't want to put my marquee sign up yet because I believe first impressions are important. Certainly you could straighten a marquee post but potential customers will have anchored to the idea that we don't care about appearances. Not a message I'm looking to convey.
So what am I doing wrong for the sign companies not to come out? I really don't know at this point. I do know our city requires a permit to replace a marquee sign and I suspect to do repairs on the pole as well.
Well, it just goes to show that not everything can happen when you want it to.
The main thing to remember is a sign alongside a busy street gives you an opportunity to pick up clients in a cost effective manner. No telemarketing, flyers, or such. Just something to catch their eye as they are traveling from point A to point B.
