What's it like to be self employed? There are plenty of people I've run into who speak about how they could be successful with their own business. Many of those same people tell me how lucky I am although they remain in jobs where they are not happy.
What's it like to be self employed? Well, even a really bad day working for myself is still better than working for someone else. I must admit the hours are longer, the demands are greater and the risk is higher.
You know what else? The rewards are better. No ceiling as to how much you can make. Bureaucracy of large organizations is pretty much gone and customers genuinely appreciate what goods and/or services you provide to them. Every phone call brings the possibility of new business and I find myself thanking the Lord pretty much every day for the life I'm currently leading.
It's scary to take that leap of faith and though there are no guarantees of success, I would do it all again in a heartbeat.
