  • What budgeting may bring for your business

Have you ever jogged and all of a sudden were past by someone who maintained a faster pace?  First, I hate when that happens because my serene jog turns into a competition (perhaps that's just me).  Second, you become aware that there is always room for improvement.

Creating a budget for your business is like setting a pace for your business.  Goals for sales will integrate with expenses necessary to support those same sales.

What I've found since creating a budget for my business is improvement in my number results.  Forcing yourself to review the budget regularly and where you measure to it creates a competition to achieve.  Fall behind sales and you know you must take action to increase revenue through increased sales promotion and potential client contact.

Watching expenses is good to an extent but you must be careful not to choke resources necessary to achieve planned sales targets.

Set the pace for your business and watch what amazing things happen.
