    • Gaining perspective by reading biographies

    Getting the courage to start a business takes guts.  Plenty of well meaning friends and family will tell you how opening a business may be the financial ruin of you.  Failing in the endeavor is certainly a possibility but so is succeeding.
     
    Currently, I am reading about T Boone Pickens.  His autobiographical book is very interesting and inspirational.  He had a family, bills and such yet took the chance to start his own company.  How'd he do?  Well, though I haven't read the entire book yet, I know he became a billionaire.  Not too shabby.
     
    Reading biographies of successful entrepreneurs can provide you perspective so you may be able to draw courage from their situation and give your dream of self employment a boost.
