Making a determination for a new businessDuring some initial office visits, people will express their want to open a new business but won't have an idea of what it should be. I always tell them it should be in something people want and something which you love to do. What do I mean? Well, you may like making buggy whips but the market for consumers of buggy whips isn't as large as say clothing shops, restaurants and such.
Determining the potential future growth of the business you want to have is one of the first steps in deciding what your next enterprise should be. In addition, you have to love what you do. At times, the hours may stretch into a very long period while you are generating sales. Customers can tell if you are enjoying what you are doing and will remember with repeat business.
It's really pretty simple and you can read books in the Library and bookstores (even the web) which will help.
I am a CPA in San Antonio and provide bookkeeping, payroll, taxes and more. We offer a free initial visit and look forward to serving your business needs.
