What's your stress release?

So many occupations are stressful.  Take your Policeman, Fireman, ER Doctor for example.  All of those mentioned require dealing with life and death situations.  I would not want their jobs for all the fried chicken in the world (fried chicken is my favorite food).
At times tax preparation may be stressful since their are hard deadlines and you can only do so much in a limited amount of time.  What's my stress release?  Bicycle riding.
I love to spend my off time just cycling on the streets of San Antonio early in the morning or late at night.  Since I've been riding for years now, my body is conditioned for hours long rides.  I'll never be able to challenge elite level cyclists for speed but that type of cycling was never my goal.  My goal is a leisurely paced ride where I can let the stresses of the week melt away while I pass different places of interest in my city.
My stress release is cheaper than medication, helps lower high blood pressure and some of the ailments which people suffer.  I tried Golf in the past but found it a very frustrating game.  I don't have time to play organized sports like softball, soccer or tennis and you need others to play with you for those activities.  With bicycling, I can cycle alone if there is no one who wants to ride with me and it's a relatively inexpensive activity.
This weekend I plan on riding Saturday and Sunday.  I plan on making a couple of taco stops during those rides in whatever mom and pop restaurant catches my eye.  After another deadline with this most recent tax season (more are still in store due to extensions and such), I have a lot of stress to pedal off.
I am a CPA in San Antonio and provide bookkeeping, payroll, taxes and more.  We offer a free initial visit and look forward to serving your business needs.
