Is it work if it's something you love to do?I think one of the best things to consider when operating a business is whether it's something you can enjoy doing. To be truthful, my first professional job in accounting was a weird experience for me. It was the first time I knew I couldn't just quit and do something else should I not be happy with the job. I had school loans to repay and it was a time to "grow up".
The sensation of my first professional job felt like I was putting on a yoke (like the oxen bear). I felt trapped and that was not a good feeling. Over the years I acquired more experience in my chosen field and it turned out I liked what I did for a living.
Now, with my past experience, I love what I do. When people ask me what they should do for a business I usually reply with "Do what makes you happy". Customers can tell when you love what you do and will return repeatedly because you will probably do good work and provide them a favorable experience by how you serve them.
The hardest part is deciding what you want to do. Hurry though as time waits for no one.
