My solution for transportation and weight lossI've been battling my weight issue for years. As a boy and through my 20's, I was still relatively thin. My weight problem didn't begin until I hit thirty and it was then my body decided to switch the metabolism lever to low.
There's an idea rolling about in my head to force myself to exercise by riding my bicycle to work. It's a mere 5 miles from my home to my office. With proper planning, I can clean up and change once I arrive at my office. Think about it. I can get in a morning and evening period of exercise while cycling to and from my office. In addition, I will be able to save on vehicle fuel costs (though not my primary reason).
I know this idea I have rolling about has merit and can work. I've cycled with a Doctor who commutes via bicycle to his place of employment (a Hospital) daily. He is also rail thin which I suppose he has his commuting choice to partially thank.
I need to wait for about three weeks (which gives me plenty of time to prepare) for my youngest to finish her school year.
I can't wait!
