Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery but beware
In a movie made awhile back, Coming to America was about a Prince who traveled to America in search of a bride in Queens, New York. The father of the girl which Eddie's character wants to be his bride runs a restaurant called McDougals. McDougals was a restaurant which imitated the fast food juggernaught known the world over.
It's said it's better to be the best you instead of a copy of someone or something else. I would have to agree.
Though the path maybe harder it's also more rewarding to come up with your own concept for a business in order to separate your goods/services from the competition.
You may be able to come more quickly to mind when people are deciding where they are going to spend their hard earned dollars with rather than becoming lost in the multitude of same old same old choices when you set yourself apart from everyone else.
Just something to think about when you want to take your own turn at self employment.
