Profiting from excess capacity
I was watching a story on the web the other day on an incubator center. This mexican restaurant in California has a commercial kitchen available for startup food businesses to rent.
The restaurant wins by being able to increase revenues through renting the kitchen out. The new businesses wins by being able to rent the kitchen without having to purchase a space and the equipment needed to cook their product.
Think about your business. Is there a way to rent out your idle assets to increase your revenue stream? For those of you with offices, consider renting out your conference room or possibly an extra office room for an emerging business to grow.
