Making the right decision in business isn't always cheap
A little over a year ago we moved into an old building. I thought it was a bargain at the time until the city inspectors came in with a list of corrections which needed to be made.
At the time all the electrical had to be removed and replaced to bring the building up to code. Uh oh. There were other things needed and we had to pay as well if we wanted to occupy that old building.
I can only imagine what might have happened to all that old wiring with all the electricity we've been pulling lately. It wasn't a cheap decision but it was the right one.
I didn't factor the electrical cost into my budget but I had it done anyway.
The right decision isn't always easy to make in business. Who doesn't want to save a few bucks by ignoring the problem. I've had a number of clients who had to close their businesses over the years because they thought they could save money by taking a poorly calculated gamble and lost. They went cheap when they should have paid to increase their chances of success.
