  • If you owe on your tax return, we can help

I recently prepared a tax return for a client and the person was surprised at having to pay instead of receiving a refund.  I must say up front how much I really dislike giving bad news.  I showed the client how his balance was determined on a sheet of paper in order to break it down into more easily understood parts.

I have used only a few  tax software programs for a couple of decades now.  Before using the tax software programs, I  prepared returns manually.  Preparing returns manually really grooves you on how to assemble a return and how all the calculations come together to arrive at the refund or amount owed.

It was a bit of fun actually for me to mock up a manual return again and the result of my efforts allowed  this particular client to understand not only why he owed but what he can do in the future to prevent it from happening again.

I am a CPA in San Antonio and provide bookkeeping, payroll, taxes and more.  We offer a free initial visit and look forward to serving your business needs.
