  • Sometimes a new client's decision comes down to personality

Let's be honest.  When you think of Accountants and personality, your really not expecting much on the personality part right?  Still, how do potential clients choose one over the other when making a change?  Presuming technical expertise is relatively equal, it comes down to how comfortable the client feels about working with you.

I was at a potential client's office recently.  They are trying to make a decision on which firm will be serving them on the go forward.  Once a few technical questions are asked (for them to gain confidence you know what you're talking about), it becomes about fit.

If you think about it, choosing another Accountant is similar to choosing your family's next Doctor or Attorney.  You've got to feel comfortable working with them.  If you own your own business, remember to work on letting your personality shine through.  It might be the difference between making the preliminary cut and being selected as the one.

I am a CPA in San Antonio and provide bookkeeping, payroll, taxes and more.  We offer a free initial visit and look forward to serving your business needs.
