Business is hard enough, create inspiration pieces in your workplace
When I worked in corporate America, I never decorated my office. For some reason I thought the lack of personal effects would make it easier for me to walk out the door should I be in a round of layoffs. Come to think of it, I was layed off early in my career along with the majority of employees at a newspaper. I guess that scarred me for a good long while and created in me the need to be able to leave an employer in quick time with little or no lingering.
Only recently have I been adding inspiration pieces in my office. I guess I finally overcame that feeling from all those years ago. I have photos of family and I plan to personalize my workspace even more.
If you have to spend so many hours out of the home so you can provide for your family, the least you can do is bring a little part of what inspires you to where you work.
I am a CPA in San Antonio and provide bookkeeping, payroll, taxes and more. We offer a free initial visit and look forward to serving your business needs.
