How long to retain records for tax purposes?
It's funny how when a new business cleint comes who is facing an audit, they are usually surprised at what the IRS asks for in order to prove deductions. How long to keep records? Well, the answer to that questions is on my website. Certain records require one year while others are forever.
Even professionals aren't always sure and the result is bad advice. If you want to confirm our information then seek out www.irs.gov and search for record retention.
Like I tell my clients, he with the most receipts wins.
I am a CPA in San Antonio and provide bookkeeping, payroll, taxes and more. We offer a free initial visit and look forward to serving your business needs.
